Born in Bristol, his parents moved to Co. Clare, Ireland in 1991 where he attended school and completed his leaving certificate. Max McClure is completing a degree in Photography at the University of The West of England. Before this, he worked in Bristol for a modeling agency as the manager and photographer.
He analyses society, culture and our environment and how they interrelate and affect each other. He aims to create a cross over between conventional ideas and traditional art with contemporary techniques such as digital photography and computer software.
The digital world is stimulating and influential to the production of his prints. This conveys the social pressure for mass distributional and disposable imagery. His more recent work centralizes around 'normal' society and night photography.
